I believe strongly that movie lovers have a responsibility to help preserve the art form they adore. More than 90 percent of all silent films have already been lost. This is a tragedy.
But silent films aren't the only ones threatened--newsreels, short subjects, and B-movies (including many of our beloved horror and sci-fi pictures) are in danger of vanishing forever.

Even relatively recent hit films aren't safe--technicians had to go to great lengths to restore Steven Spielberg's blockbuster Jaws, because the original negative was in such poor condition. All proceeds realized from the operation of this website will be donated to film preservation. I encourage you to do your part, as well.
